Work with students to explore their career interests and prepare them for applying to and working in co-op roles. * Provide career coaching on career exploration, resume, cover letter, LinkedIn development, networking, interview training, and career search strategies* Deliver and facilitate career workshops, information sessions and help organize conferences* Conduct over 30 site visits each term with students and employers and mark student co-op assignments

I led the BCom Careers team in delivering a comprehensive range of programs and services to over 3800 BCom and Co-op students including:* personal career coaching* career management and professional development workshops * trips to various cities nationally and internationally* career preparation and mentorship programs for the capital markets, CPA, consultingWorked closely with our Business Development team to connect undergraduate talent with hiring organizations. Conducted assessments and reviews of programming and services and used data analytics to better understand the impact of our efforts on the BCom student population and enhance decision making.Managed multiple budgets, the larger of which required annual negotiation with the Commerce Undergraduate Society to provide funding for BCom programs and services.Tracked employment outcomes of over 800 graduates each year.Co-chaired the Business Career Centre’s professional development committee sourcing speakers and topics for full-day and half-day programs and various lunch and learn sessions.

Managed the career centre prior to a re-organization in which the Director role was divided into a Director of Graduate Careers and Director of Undergraduate Careers which I assumed.

In addition to managing the Co-op program, I also oversaw the staff, programming and services we offered to all BCom students.

As the first Co-op Coordinator for the Sauder School of Business, I laid the groundwork for managing and growing the Co-op program for the first six years of the program's formal existence.* Managed Co-op budget and established policies, procedures, and reporting criteria for the program in accordance with provincial requirements* Prepared over 70 new students annually for work terms through delivering a series of 12 pre-employment training workshops each year and providing individual coaching* Developed marketing materials and promoted the Co-op program at every opportunity possible including presenting at multiple industry association meetings, cold calling companies, and following up on leads at networking events* Conducted site visits both locally and nationally with Employers and Co-op students during work terms

In this role I recruited high school students to attend TWU.* Travelled extensively throughout British Columbia and parts of Colorado delivering presentations to high school students about TWU* Developed relationships with over 120 interested students each year through follow-up after presentations and inquiries staying connected throughout entire admissions process to campus arrival* Working with the Admissions team, organized Preview weekends for prospective students to come to campus for two-day visits to experience TWU firsthand

I managed the Canada Summer Jobs program for the Fraser Valley. I reviewed funding applications from organizations to hire summer students and determined funding levels based on match with program criteria.I also evaluated applications and awarded funding to organizations to deliver job skills training for low and unskilled workers in the Fraser Valley to increase their ability to enter the labour market. Once programs were up and running, I conducted site visits with program participants to evaluate quality of training and job experience.
