The GDPR is a legal framework that sets guidelines for the collection and processing of personal information of individuals within the European Union (EU). The establishment of this initiative was motivated by the growing concern that GDPR awareness throughout Ireland is unbalanced among enterprise, construction and retail sectors. Coalition Partner companies include GDPR experts, as well as vendors, legal, fiscal, event and general collaborators. The Coalition is also comprised of Ambassadors, one representative from each participating partner company, who serves as the liaison between the Coalition and their personal participating company. Coalition Ambassadors also assist the Coalition's co-chairs with the creation and circulation of the information put forth by the initiative, while also providing timely strategic guidance to assist with the distribution of the group's core key messages.
