Changing Gears is an NDIS provider (registered provider with ID # 4-J1YQF9S) offering a comprehensive Learn to Drive program that helps people with specific learning needs (e.g. ASD2, ADD, severe anxiety, deafness, and poor literacy), get their L’s and pass their P’s, even if they always struggle with passing exams. Last year the Changing Gears 'Get your L's' program had an incredible 98% pass rate.Linda started her career in driver education after a serious motorbike accident where she lost the use of her hands for two years. Wanting to teach drivers how to watch out for motorbikes, she spent the time completing her Driver Instructor’s license. Linda has successfully assisted 1000’s of learner drivers in passing their drive test.Over the past 20 years Linda has been training large groups in driver education, defensive driving and classroom-based learner permit programs for organisations like the Brotherhood of St Lawrence, Mission Australia, The Migrant Information Centre, Expressions Australia and many more.A point of difference worth noting about the Changing Gears program is that it teach safe driving behaviours in class discussions about road rules and driving situations. This not only helps students retain and remember the road rules better, it makes them safer drivers. In fact, teachers we've worked with in special schools say they notice a big difference in attitudes towards driving among students that have completed the Get Your L's program.
