Wanting to teach drivers how to watch out for motorbikes, she spent the time completing her Driver Instructor’s license. Changing Gears is an interactive, pre-learner driver education program designed for people aged 16+ who have low literacy skills. This program has also been used successfully with culturally and linguistically diverse young people.The Changing Gears resource has been designed to prepare people for the Learners Permit Test. This program was written by Megan Lynch, Robert Regester and Linda Jane for Mission Australia. Mission Australia has gracefully approved CG for Learners, the use of Changing Gears material. This edition of the Changing Gears Program been revised and is now CG For Learners. The program runs over four days and covers all aspects of the Victorian road rules and laws. The program engages the participants through group work, games, videos and online computer based activities and Vic Roads website. On the final day of the program the group attends Vic Roads to sit their formal learner permit test.The Changing Gears program includes Training, a copy of the Road to Solo Driving and the Learner Permit Testing fees at Vic Roads!
