Project budget: € 11 million.Increase of visitor numbers (mainly families and schools) from 180,0000 to 320,000 per annum.This project won several (inter)national awards and nominations.- Exhibitions: ‘The Dark Chapter’ (on slave trade; 2013), ‘The Royal Barge’ (including an elegant boathouse designed by architect Liesbeth van der Pol. Total budget € 1 million; 2015), and ‘Dare to Discover’ (VR-experience on board of replica ship Amsterdam. Total buget € 800,000; 2017).- Education and public events: 'Whale Weeks' (2014-2017; in cooperation with the World Life Fund) and learning programme 'Boatcamp' (2016; CECA Best Practice Awards 2017).
