My professional focus centers on trauma and human sexuality. With a dedicated passion for these areas, I continuously pursue relevant continuing education to enhance my expertise and provide comprehensive support to those navigating these complex aspects of the human experience.

Completed a 750-hour internship at an inpatient substance abuse clinic. Shared caseload of approximately 10 clients with a full-time staff member and took full caseloads of counselors who were absent or on vacation. Duties included: intake, assessment and diagnosis of psychological disorders; initial treatment planning and regular assessment of progress through multiple therapeutic tools; discharge planning and subsequent discharge to alternate levels of care; chart management; attendance of daily staff meetings and weekly clinical staff meetings; independent facilitation of therapy groups. Cooperatively functioned as a member of the treatment team.

Monitored public forums by assessing and responding to posts; transferring potential clients to independent therapists with regard to individual needs and therapeutic specialties. Moderating was done with a special Internet application designed to make therapy available to people who would not or could not easily access face-to-face therapists.

Launched the blog in 2005 from a personal website that began in 2001, writing about hot and spicy foods. I administrated/edited the blog in addition to doing some writing. The blog had approximately 8 writers from around the world who loved writing about hot and spicy foods. I attended industry shows on a regular basis as press/media constantly looking for new and interesting products.I have written articles for prominent foodie magazines and have been in a film about hot sauce.

Trained at MRL in Highland Heights, Kentucky to work at Clinical Research Laboratories (CRL)/MRL-International in Belgium. Maintained complex databases and facilitated the utilization of clinical data. Refined Standard Operating Procedures for pharmaceutical clients. Communicated with clinical research sites regarding patient care & data integrity.

Began working for Value Behavioral Health in 1997 as a Data Analyst. Organized customer satisfaction surveys into a database. Analyzed that data to create reports for all regional directors of VBH centers of mental health care in the U.S. Data was used to make improvements at various locations if necessary. VBH was bought out and became ValueOptions where I designed behavioral healthcare databases and analyzed subsequent data for corporate reporting. Closely worked with regional managers to improve quality of care. Refined corporate policies & procedures regarding behavioral health data.
