My area of expertise is personal transport & mobility solutions for people with mobility difficulties. I work for the Courts usually through Solicitor's instructions. I will carry out a domiciliary visit to assess the person's current requirements and, along with information from other experts, project future needs. I work for either Claimant & Defence. I will also take on private consultation work to assist a client with up-to-date unbiased advice on suitable vehicles to meet personal needs.

WAVCA (Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle Converters' Association) is the UK trade association for companies which manufacture and convert vehicles to wheelchair access. It became a limited company in 2013. I am a former Chairman of the Association and now run the trade Association on behalf of the Board and Members. During my time as Chairman I led a team which negotiated a place for WAVs in European Automotive legislation. WAVs are now part of a Special Purpose Vehicle category with their own specific and relevant requirements. I instigated and helped develop PAS 2012:2012-1/2 which is a Publicly Available Specification from BSI which is now the benchmark standard for WAVs (wheelchair accessible vehicles) in the UK. Accreditation to PAS 2012:2012-1/2 is now the entry standard for all WAVs on the government funded Motability Scheme. Through the newly created European WAV trade association, OECVA (Organisation Europeene de Vehicules Accessibles) I work with and on behalf of the industry on Type Approval and Standards for WAVs (wheelchair accessible vehicles) throughout Europe and sit on the ECWVTA Special Purpose Vehicles Working Group. OECVA works closely with WAVCA and other European stakeholders.

OECVA is the trade association for European WAV converters and associated companies with an interest in vehicle Type Approval. OECVA represents the WAV sector within the European Automotive Industry and works to moderate the impact of regulation on the WAV market and its customers. OECVA works with the main automotive manufacturers (OEMs), Approval Authorities, testing centres, and national and European governments to achieve their aims.

During my time with Joncare I led the developement of new business development strategies for the business, including new product and marketing strategies. .
