Experience is the best teacher... but a good educations doesn't hurt. I am a believer of education and life skill. Most of all, I am a believer in honesty, integrity, and kindness in the workplace. Both my education and my career are varied. My undergrad was in Math, ComSci with an minor in Technical Writing. I have a BSIT degree. Later, I completed a Masters in Geographical Information Systems and Public Administration. My capstone papers were on Object Models compared to the COM model for modeling and simulation and Project Management using an Agile technique. My career has been just as varied. I have worked in media with Morris Communications as a Zoned Edition Manager. At NASA Wallops Island, I ran projects for the GIS interns, and wrote configuration control manuals, Standard Operating Procedure manuals, as well as worked on their Real Property Database. From project planning to technical training and sales, research skills combined with writing and project management have been a large part of my career. I have had over 25 years of experience with business and computer science systems allowing a holistic view of analysis computer systems in an integrated complexity, this includes business, spatial analysis, and technology integration. I have run over 100 projects with a portfolio of over 35000 project management hours. This breadth of experience has strengthened my skills on multiple levels. Additionally, I co-wrote a book with Dr. T. S. Kelso entitled, "Spatial-Temporal Information System: An Ontological Approach using STK," published in 2013. My last endeavor was working for Pocomoke City as the Grants Administrator, writing grants and running over 47 different programs/projects for the city with a value of over 12 Million. I retired from the space industry in 2012, I left AGI to write a book and act as Executive Director for the Galaxy Explorers, a STEM educational outreach. Occasionally, I have worked ad hoc consulting requests. Additionally, during this time, I started blogging and became an owner of Research for a Solution, a private research group dedicated to evaluating and analyzing the latest medical research that puts a spotlight on today’s USDA Dietary Guidelines. Currently, I work with Wichita Tribal Enterprises as the Project Manager of a highly skilled IT group for the IHS. I still continue to blog on health-related science material, when I can find the time. While the topics vary widely, the method of transferring knowledge using the written word is consistent.
