Assists clients in all aspects of health and welfare benefit programs, including strategic planning, program design, financial analysis, plan implementation and communication, and regulatory compliance. Professional ExperienceI have been in the insurance brokerage arena for over 10 years serving both small and large clients. Prior to joining Gallagher, her former positions include Packet Fulfillment Coordinator, Senior Benefits Administrator, Operations Supervisor, and Account Management. I have a strong background with HRIS systems which encompass knowledge of UltiPro, ADP, Zywave, Oracle, and AscentisHR. This vast range of experience has given me a broad based knowledge and in-depth understanding of the entire insurance continuum.

I help execute marketing strategies and objectives for client benefit offerings. I assist with proposal writing and client presentation and ensure that insurance carriers respond to proposal requests timely and thoroughly. Once plans have been implemented, I coordinate the plan administration process, including set-up, conducting enrollment meetings, and any necessary follow-up with a client and their employees. I provide customer service to ensure client satisfaction of plan administration. I also support the account management team as a whole.

I made sure my staff showed up and worked with them to improve performance. I assisted during interviews for new hires and helped evaluate current employees. I also began working in account management.

After several years of administering employee benefits, I was promoted to department lead. I assisted departmental staff with daily tasks or questions, and I conducted the initial training of new hires on the roles and responsibilities of a benefits administrator.

I administered various employee benefits plans including life, health, dental and disability insurance; flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, health reimbursement accounts; and leave-of-absence plans for clients.

I assisted with administering various benefits plans, and while doing so became proficient in health-care plan administration, customer service, Section 125 regulations, disability plan administration, and HSA, FSA and HRA administration.

I handled all client requests for benefit enrollment packets for annual and on-going enrollments, including assembling benefit literature and other printed material and shipping packets to clients for distribution to their employees.

Using Simms software, I organized internal packet materials and helped implement the program at Cowan.

During this summer internship, I worked on an automotive line filling in for employees who were out sick or on vacation. An automotive line is extremely difficult work, so it gives you an appreciation for hard work and the value of a dollar. The automotive line also prepared me for workforce by introducing me to diversity in the workplace.
