If I had to choose just one word to describe myself, it'd probably be wordsmith. My expertise with writing runs the gamut from news articles and press releases to creative sales copy and SEO content. In addition, I've worked extensively with project management, PR and corporate communications. Regardless of what I do, I take pride in giving it my all.Outside of work I’m passionate about connecting children with nature through outdoor play. I created the blog Rain or Shine Mamma (www.rainorshinemamma.com) in 2013 to inspire parents, teachers and caregivers to take children outside every day, regardless of the weather. The blog resulted in the book There's No Such Thing as Bad Weather, which was published in 2017 to critical acclaim. My next book, about the Nordic outdoor tradition friluftsliv, will be published by Tarcher Perigee/Penguin Random House in the fall of 2022. I'm often consulted by the media as an expert on nature connection, outdoor play, Scandinavian parenting and the Nordic outdoor tradition of friluftsliv.
