I am a professor teaching two graduate courses in education. I also supervise students in their student teaching experiences in the K-6 content area. I have served in this position for 6 years at the Yorktown Heights Campus in New York.

I am an education consultant for the juvenile division assigned to educating the department, parents, students, educators and business community on gang prevention in public schools. My major role is to build partnerships with all stakeholders to save the lives of our youth and assist them in pursuing a better way of life for the youth of Poughkeepsie.

In my 24 years in the Poughkeepsie City School District, I served as an assistant principal at Poughkeepsie High School, principal of Warring Magnet Academy and Assistant Superintendent of Schools for Administrative Leadership. In these positions I supervised a staff from 70 to over a thousand. My duties covered many areas and involved partnerships with community agencies and business in order to enhance the educational experience for our children and their parents.My work experience in the district enabled me to work with the Commissioner of Education for New York State. I served on the New York State Education Department Committee on Bridging the Academic Gap in Education as chairperson. I was also the President of the School Administrators Association for New York State.

Served as a health and physical education teacher for ten years in the Lakeland School District. During my tenure in this district I was very active in student activities/government and was the advisor. I also served as a coach for gymnastics, track, cheerleading and basketball.

Served as a physical education teacher in the Newark New Jersey School System at Weequahic High School. I served in this position for 6 months.
