I moved to JA because I have a passion for youth development. This position allows me to leverage my skills and to grow. This is my first foray directly in the development side. I support the VP of Philanthropy and I share the value of the JA Programming with corporate supporters and individual donors. We host many fundraising events and I assist with securing sponsors and vendors so that we have success. I also assist in recruiting volunteers for some of our programs.

Inforum offers several classes in Leadership and I supported the team with application processing, communications with participants, and logistics support for facilitators and participants on the day of each session.I supported everyone on the busy Inforum team, and specifically assisted the CEO with her scheduling. I provided excellent customer service to members and donors. I was responsible for managing the registration process for many events and programs.

What do you find out when you work in a Metal Stamping Plant? That it might not be the best fit. I used my attention to processes to provide logistics support for steel coil receiving and parts shipping for a major customer. Developed written procedure documentation, where none had existed previously, for the shipping and receiving area.

Change Agent! Responsible for overseeing key volunteers and staff who connect volunteers to the Girl Scout Movement. Manage intake process and systems for approximately 2000 new volunteers per year including application, background checks, training, and placement. Support Learning Opportunities for volunteers and staff with scheduling of courses in eight counties. Write and implement new course modules. Work cooperatively with cross-functional teams to assess learning needs. Developed processes to integrate new computer systems and upload accurate data. Integrally involved in Council realignment process as Council went from 3 counties to 8, and internally re-aligned from over 100 units to under 50. Developed new position descriptions, written manuals and training to support operational volunteers in working with new program materials from GSUSA. Served on the Council's Strategic Learning Team in developing five year plan.

Established new CRM procedures to ensure new volunteers completed applications and training. Primary contact to place more than 800 volunteers per year. Delivered face-to-face training to volunteers across three county jurisdiction. Managed more than fifty volunteer trainers and coordinated schedule, cross-training, and execution of events for other volunteers.

8MBA works to connect the communities along Eight Mile, from I-94 to I-275. I assisted the Association during the search for a new Executive Director. I was primary responsible for communicating with 150 members and constituents, and for supporting a volunteer committee to execute the Leadership Luncheon. I managed $48,000 sponsorship, vendor relationships,and publicity for the 2003 Leadership Luncheon attended by 500 guests.

Hire, train, and manage retail staff for thirteen optical retail locations. Coordinate vacation scheduling following union guidelines, assist in budget preparation for all thirteen locations. Resolve staff conflict and execute customer service plans. Primary computer support liaison between out-based staff and home-office IT department. Present information on Optical benefits and optical plans to individual customers, HR managers, and groups. Maintain CRM records with over 100 optical accounts to support continued renewal.
