Created and manage the UNW Academic Internship Program. My work includes:1) Creation and management of the UNW Academic Internship Program for the university's graduate and undergraduate students and their faculty supervisors. Topics: liability and risk, faculty training, academic policy and procedures, excellence initiatives, student engagement, assessment of educational outcomes2) Employer Relations: On-campus interviews, expand UNW employer relations database, connect students with employers, serve as a consultant to businesses seeking to start or improve their internship program.3) Capture and distribute internship data for academic administration, admissions, marketing, academic departments, etc.4) Develop on-line resources used to support the internship program5) Counsel/coach students on career skills6) Support the functions of the Center for Calling & Career such as managing employer events, on-campus interviews

-Manages UNW's Academic Internship Program -UNW;s Project/Program Manager, 2015-2018 Great Lakes Career Ready Internship grant-Grant writer--Wrote and awarded the 2014-2015 ($150K) & 2015-2018 ($412K) Great Lakes Career Ready Internship grant--Use Brainshark to provide training to interns regarding liability, risk and labor laws.--Developed Moodle course to track management of Internship Grant participants

Wrote Northwestern College's Criterion 5 document for Self-Study for reaccreditation through the Higher Learning Commission-North Central Association.This was the first time that "engagement and service" was part of the accreditation process. Challenges include identifying campus and community constituents; collecting information; evaluating data; deciding what to include; creating surveys to collect quantitative data; assembling information to meet written criteria; writing document; assembling artifacts for document library; meeting with the accreditation site visit team.

Worked under the direction of Matt Scholz on the development of antiseptic products.Gained microbiology skills during this time. Trained in interns.

Taught physics, chemistry, biology, algebra I, II to mixed age classroom using the Principal Approach. Wrote and modified curriculum. 5 new preps each year.Highlights: Class built a 6' tall Trebuchet and launched pumpkins, etc. Physical science class built volcanoes NOT using baking soda and vinegar. One student group generated a 30 foot tall mushroom cloud.

I worked with a group of 7 teens coaching them on Bible memory and then taking them to quiz meets. Bible quizzing is a great way to learn scriptures and train the mind. Great mental and spiritual discipline.

Plant chemist for the Hadley Steam Electric StationPlant chemist for Fort Worth Main S.E.S.Instrumentation: Gas chromatography (GC) used for the detection of PCB's in fuel oil; Atomic Absorption (A.A,) for detection of heavy metals; UV-VIS; Analyzers (hydrazine, sodium, dissolved oxygen, pH, chlorine)Projects: developed more efficient laboratory tests; purchased and oversight for resin replacement for the ultrapure water for Hadley 4 & 5; overhaul and design of new water sampling station, instrumental in the detection of a near-catastrophic leak of CO2 in the primary water system resulting in corrosion of copper coils used as coolant for the hydrogen cooling system for the electromagnet of Hadley 4;lining of holding ponds; oversight for boiler and hot water heaters cleaning; responsible for all chemical systems, EPA testing/documentation

Formulated over 50 new products. Scaled many of these products for production. Helped to improve manufacturing quality. Highlights: Stablized Ultradex; developed surgical gel prep using PCMX/elthyl alcohol as the active ingredients. The prep contained a dye only visible under surgical lamps.
