I am the owner and President at NLP Canada Training, where I train people to do difficult, satisfying things. Through coaching, training, and writing, I guide people to know themselves in ways that lead to stronger communication and more satisfying achievements.No one runs a marathon without training for it; we also need to train for long-term, significant achievement in our working lives. Showing up is important, but it’s not enough to drive improvement in your performance or your satisfaction. I train people to use reliable information about how human beings make good choices and influence others. And I create safe spaces to practice skills, make mistakes, and learn to perform better. I work with individuals in coaching sessions, with individuals in public group training sessions, and with individuals and teams in organizations to provide the knowledge, skills and feedback it takes to achieve things that are currently just beyond their reach. My information comes from fields that include behavioural economics, psychology, business and literature. My practices have evolved from the exercises of NLP, the questions of solution-focused brief coaching, and design thinking.My most recent book, Resilience: Grow Stronger in a Time of Crisis (Changemakers Books, 2020) is a short, practical handbook for managing your mindset so that you can manage unpredictable and difficult times. My book, Living Your Purpose (2014) is a series of coaching sessions you can use to create choice in the way you are managing pain and goals and relationships. It begins with the basic principles that drive achievement-based thinking and weaves them into a practice for building integrity, satisfaction and curiosity.
