My name is Linda Stahl, and I help companies avoid, manage, and ultimately resolve their disputes, so that they can get on with the business of doing business. Whether advising on the terms of a 100-page contract or defending your interests at trial, my goal is the same: to be a source of clarity in the midst of confusion. Because experience has taught me that the way to avoid lawsuits -- and to win the ones you’re in -- is to say what you mean. I love the process of coming to understand complex things -- legal concepts, financing arrangements, industries, people -- and then conveying that understanding to others. I was responsible for seeing that pending motions were resolved in a timely, fair, and principled manner. By the conclusion of my clerkship, I was moving more than 20 motions each month off the Court's docket.
