This included medical nutrition therapy and patient food service for the hospital, acute rehab, long-term care, psychiatric, chemical dependency and hospice care; four retail locations; catering and community outreach activities. Led 13 managers and 170 team members. Developed and managed a $6 million dollar budget. Responsible for the production of 6,500 meals per day. -Positioned the department as the #1 performer for labor utilization and supply expenses in Premier's benchmarking database for 8 consecutive years (2004-2012).-Enhanced the organization's bottom line by increasing department revenue on average 9.5% each year and decreased total expense per meal by 28% while increasing quality and patient satisfaction. -Enhanced downstream organizational revenue by serving as a subject matter expert and authoring a quarterly Nutrition column in "Your Health Today".-Achieved a 93.7 employee engagement score on the Advisory Board Survey by creating a virtual electronic learning program to improve new employee on-boarding, increasing staff recognition, and initiating a departmental Shared Governance team.-Nominated for Premier's 2009, 2010, 2011 Illuminating Excellence Award for outstanding accomplishments including patient satisfaction scores; documented cost savings; activities to support the values and mission of the organization; professional and community activities and personal achievements.

Managed Medical Nutrition Therapy and Patient Services throughout campus. Created and executed the department quality improvement and education program. -Developed and implemented an interdisciplinary patient screening tool and individuaized goal planning process that optimized patient care and addressed regulatory obligations. -Directed an interdisciplinary task force to initiate use of closed tube feeding systems and minimize risk of bacterial contamination.-Created a safer work environment by tracking and trending employee incident reports, communicating results and tailoring education to findings.
