Linda Magee is a seasoned non-profit arts administrator with three decades of experience in financial management, fundraising, artistic planning and organizational development. Until January 2013 she was the executive director of Chamber Music Northwest, a highly respected summer festival in Portland, Oregon.During her tenure at Chamber Music Northwest, Ms. Magee helped build an organization that achieved a rare balance of artistic excellence and fiscal stability. While steadily growing the organization, expanding programs and enlarging audiences, she operated the organization with a balanced budget for 32 consecutive years. She also directed three capital campaigns for CMNW, to create an endowment fund currently valued at more than $4 million. Ms. Magee has served on the board of directors of Chamber Music America and on several grants review panels for the National Endowment for the Arts. She is a founding co-organizer of Classical Music Festivals of the West, a cooperative group of 15 executive directors in seven western states that holds an annual conference.A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Indiana University, with a B.A. in the Individualized Major Program, she also attended Oberlin College. Ms. Magee was a free-lance violinist in Chicago and a member of the Chicago Civic Orchestra before her career in arts administration. I am currently open to consulting and special projects, in the areas of fiscal management and capitalization, fundraising and donor relations, and organizational and strategic planning.
