My passion lies in advocating for vulnerable individuals, particularly those facing mental health challenges, poverty, and discrimination. I am dedicated to researching and understanding the assessment, intervention, psychological and biological treatments, as well as the social and structural factors associated with various mental health disorders. I believe it is essential to understand how to best support each individual in their unique circumstances using evidence-based approaches. My experience in translational research as a Research Assistant and student at academic laboratories has provided me with invaluable insights. I have developed a keen understanding of what it takes to bring a project from inception to completion. I have also honed my proficiency in data analysis using MATLAB, SPSS, Excel, Power BI, and R, and have developed strong skills in scientific writing, literature review, and leadership. I am interested in harnessing the power of statistics to model and understand complex phenomena. My goal is to assist in the development of public and health policies that prioritize the safety, protection, and advocacy needs of our community.
