At Washoe, I have combined my strong scientific background with my enthusiasm for clear communication. In the early years of Washoe, I focused primarily on science communication. More recently, my attention has shifted to projects where I can use my professional knowledge of the life sciences and my science communication skills to contribute to a healthy environment with wellbeing for people, animals and nature. I focus on the life sciences, ranging from biomedical sciences, veterinary science, medicine, and public health to zoology, ecology, and conservation biology. Feel free to contact me!

The Dutch Techcentre for Life Sciences was a public-private partnership of more than fifty Dutch life science organizations. It acted as a network of professionals that jointly improved the Dutch life science research infrastructure, with a focus on accessible high-end technologies, FAIR data treatment, and expert training. As DTL's communications manager, I was responsible for the website, newsletter, and miscellaneous other communication activities. As of January 2023, DTL has bundled its forces with the Health-RI organization, to establish a strong national platform supporting the future of data driven health and life sciences.

The aim of the FP7 project CommHERE (Communicating European Health Research) was to improve communication on the outcome of EU-funded health research to the general public and other target groups. One of our products was the public web portal HorizonHealth.eu .
