I am a marketing communications professional with many years in the Insurance industry. My BackgroundI’ve had the benefit of working on both the insurance company side and the brokerage side of the business. At ICBC, where I worked for more than 13 years, I experienced a wide variety of roles; as a sales representative, senior business advisor, managing a road safety PR program and managing a regional marketing and communications team of 11 that provided marcomm support to business areas throughout the organization.Before that, I worked for a few smaller brokerages as a commission only salesperson before making the leap and buying an insurance brokerage with a couple of partners. As the owner principal I worked with my partners to increase the value of the agency by 75% over five years. Since that time, I've worked as an insurance branch manager and business development manager in the insurance industry and as a product manager for Vancity where I supported the enviroVisa credit card. At HUB, I managed corporate strategic projects and managed a call centre team and retail branch. About MeI take my work very seriously, myself not so much, and gain tremendous satisfaction out of helping others, solving problems and in planning and leading projects.
