Voor mijn afstudeerstage doe ik onderzoek naar kansrijke gebieden in het Rijnmondgebied die de potentie hebben om te veranderen naar natuurlijke bufferzones en compensatiegebieden.

Deze minor besteedt aandacht aan kustverdediging, landaanwinning, stedenontwikkeling, irrigatie en dijken.

During my internship at the University of Sebelas Maret, I researched the use of plastic waste of the residents of kampung Mojo. By doing a Focus Group Discussion with the residents, I gathered information about their lifestyle and living conditions. Hereby I found out that the residents would like to get rid of their plastic waste and to grow their own food. To tackle this, I introduced the Vertical Urban Agriculture of plastic bottles. This instrument upcycled plastic waste whereby plastic waste gets another value. I gave a workshop for the residents of Kampung Mojo to learn them how to make the VUA. It was a successful day! During my internship, I worked closely with the students of UNS. They helped me with understanding the culture and with translating. Because of this, I got to know the culture very well.
