I am the lead manager of the Candriam Biotechnology Fund and co-manage the Candriam Oncology Fund, with two decades of buy-side and sell-side experience as one of the early specialists in the biotechnology sector. In 2015, I was thrilled to be recognised in the ‘40 Under 40 Rising Stars of Asset Management’ and delighted to be a finalist for Fund Manager of the Year - Women In Investment Awards 2022 & 2023. My formative career was spent with Goldman Sachs where I established my deep technical expertise in the sector, developed the foundation for my framework in company analysis, context and investment opportunity, and built long-lasting relationships with the industry’s established and emerging leaders. I subsequently joined a biotech hedge fund at start-up stage, as a key member of the team that built and launched the fund from scratch.In 2011, I joined AXA IM Framlington. Over the 12 years I was there the Biotech Fund AuM and performance grew substantially, through a best-in-class investment framework, a network of sector experts spanning US / UK executives, analysts, investors, scientists, clinicians, and regulators, and the wealth of expertise that comes from managing the peaks and troughs of such a cyclical, fast-moving industry.I am now pleased to be working at Candriam and contributing to the Life Sciences Equity business. The team is managing >$4bn of healthcare assets across Biotechnology, Oncology and Life Care Funds. I represent the fund to the press regularly, contributing perspectives and supporting its profile, and am a frequent panel member and speaker at conferences. I am a huge champion of talent development. I was focused on culture and communication as a driver of employee performance and engagement through my former roles at AXA IM as a member of the London Executive Committee and Co-Head of Global Equities.
