My research focused on the development of computational tools for materials design and methods for quality control of alternative binder cemented carbides. I was active in several projects (Metalliska material: NoCo, EIT Raw Materials: CoFree, and Hero-m 2i: Hard materials) with Swedish industry (Sandvik, Epiroc, Seco Tools and QuesTek Europe). During my time at KTH I was active in teaching bachelor and master students (Ceramics, Micro- and nano structures, Advanced materials design, as well as course and degree projects in Materials Design).

Visiting researcher in Prof. Gregory B. Olson's Steel Research Group, focused on studying Materials Design (390 Course) and contributing to a Q&P steel research project.

The thesis was focused on production and analysis of cemented carbides with alternative (high entropy alloy) binders. Based on thermodynamic and ab-initio calculations samples were produced using powder metallurgy and analyzed using LOM, SEM, EDS, XRD and tests for mechanical properties such as Vickers hardness.
