As a Resident Assistant, I serve as a mentor for students venturing through their college experience. Presently, I have the privilege of working with freshman: a fresh batch of travelers through the journey of undergraduate education. This role lends itself to many responsibilities and opportunities: practicing discipleship, preparing weekly devotionals, planning events, networking with staff, enforcing rules, restoring relationships after conflict, and having consistent conversations with residents who may need help, encouragement, and advice--and some who just want to talk.

My responsibilities include:-Assembling an online employee satisfaction assessment tool (in multiple languages)-Large-Scale Corporate Event planning, setup, and delegation: planned a large corporate event near July 4 to celebrate the heritage of our country and company. Assisted in delegation and communication to both the internal planning committee and the employees at various locations. -Community relations--spoke about the vision of Allen Harim, and its harmony with the community. Also acquired over $1800 in donations towards our corporate event (Allen Harim Celebration Day). -Compiling applications and outcomes into a consolidated spreadsheet-Creating a new recruiting booklet for use at job fairs, interviews, etc.-Crafting an evaluative rubric for the Allen Harim website that compared it to the website of our competitors, and gave suggestions regarding improvement -Attending meetings with supervisors and Allen Harim employees to discuss job satisfaction, performance, and strategy to improve employee culture-Utilizing SAP software to enter inventory, accounting, and plant data information (this helps with inventory).-Interacting with employees from all facets of the company in order to assess employee satisfaction and become familiar with the "moving parts" of our large scale organizational structure.-Preparating of Training Presentations and Seminars for New Hire and New Leader Orientations. These presentations familiarize New Hires with corporate identity and practices (what makes us unique), and New Leaders with info that aids them in both coaching and being mentored by other leaders.-Created new template for internal job description postings; also edited job descriptions to more accurately reflect employees' regular responsibilities.-Performed other administrative duties for Human Resources personnel.

At Matters of the Heart Counseling, I enter bill payments and work on making sure that financial statements and intake are aligned seamlessly.

Interning at Laurel Wesleyan Church was a formative experience of my ministry career. I had the opportunity to mentor, lead, plan, learn from, and serve with hundreds of people. From hospital visits to homiletics to building handicap ramps, LWC taught me a lot about what it means to inhabit the Kingdom faithfully in a ministerial position.
