With a strong background in translational stem and stromal cell biology research, I have recently transitioned into industry, founding CellTherEx Consulting and commencing my position as Chief Scientific Officer and Business Developer at NextCell Pharma AB. These roles have provided me with the opportunity to focus on my drive to see novel therapies move into the clinic and benefit patients. I have also been able to maintain my academic links to the field of stromal cell biology and am affiliated to Karolinska Institutet, where I continue to enjoy links to my ongoing research in oral progenitor cell biology, mesenchymal stromal cell therapy and their potential in wound healing and treatment of immune-mediated disorders.I am passionate about advanced therapy development and seeing improved accessibility of new drug products to patients in need. In support of this, in addition to my scientific, consultancy and board roles I am actively involved in a number of Swedish and International initiatives in the advanced therapy community. My recent appointment as Regional Secretary for the International Society of Cell and Gene Therapy and industry representative for the Swedish National Coordination Group for ATMPs are examples of this.
