Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, overseeing a caseload of approximately 100+ high risk adult probation and parolees. Conduct client management classification, assessments, investigations, psychological /psychiatric reports, substance abuse evaluations, family history, work history, educational background, criminal history, etc.Compile and examine pertinent information regarding legal and social status/history to determine respective level of service and supervision. Administration and interpretation of comprehensive personality profiles to identify information that is helpful in the supervision of each individual. Develop and implement positive goal oriented social skills for offenders to help them become productive members to society and aide in re-integration back into the community.Identify needs, problems and interventions through various intake and counseling techniques; devise personalized plans for successful completion through the course of supervision. Refer, coordinate and obtain updates for a variety of community resources and structured services.Effectively communicate conditions of supervision, legal terms, legal documents, policies and procedures, etc., in a clear and understandable manner.Verifying all necessary documentation. Prepare and present accurate written and oral reports for the courts, Parole board, administrative hearings, in-house staffing's, and outside agencies in compliance with Iowa Code and established deadlines. Participation in interview panel and hiring of probation/parole officers and supervisors.Facilitation of CALM and Moving On Cognitive programming, participation in CHAMPS grant study and chairperson of Training Committee.
