Christine Donnell School of the Arts, Meridian, ID Aug. 2011 - Aug. 2012-Taught Elementary P.E. for K - 7 grades.-Taught/mentored a Life Skills class for 7th grade.-Prepared several unique daily P.E. lesson plans for all grade levels ensuring all students were engaged and getting the best experience out of their P.E. class.-Created multiple Health lessons for a Life Skills class ensuring the curriculum was covered and all students were learning the appropriate material. -Collaborated every Wednesday with fellow P.E. teachers and classroom teachers to assure all students’ needs were being met. -Administered Presidential Fitness Test (a physical education requirement for students)-Assured all classes had sufficient equipment and monitored said equipment to make sure it was in usable condition. Led the team district playoffs every year.-Taught a variety of physical education classes: dance, cardio fitness, coed P.E., female P.E., and adaptive P.E.-Prepared lesson plans for multiple classes ensuring all students were engaged, learning, and getting the most out of their educational experience.-Taught an adaptive P.E. class for special needs students, which used many different skill levels and equipment while still encouraging movement as much as possible.-Collaborated daily with the physical education department to ensure all timelines were being met, schedule up-to-date, and implement new ideas for the department.-Responsible for all P.E. inventory ordering and organizing P.E. closet/areas.-Educated and mentored many students on an IEP and/or 504 plan where it was required to attend meetings where each respective student's academic and classroom goals were analyzed/reviewed and adapted if necessary to make certain his/her educational goals were being met.
