The bulk of my experience lies within the Hematology/Oncology/Blood and Marrow Transplant specialty. This specialty requires knowledge of complex disease processes, complex IV medication administration, blood administration and knowledge regarding significant complications involving all body systems. I work in the role of charge nurse as well as a preceptor. I have sat on multiple committees both within my specialty and hospital wide. I have been involved in quality improvement projects and am currently working on the build for Mayo's new electronic medical record system. I regularly teach fellow nurses on specialty practices. I give frequent presentations as part of our formal specialty education. I enjoy learning, teaching and most of all, the time spent with my patients.
