My business, Functioning Success LLC, offers executive function coaching and counseling for college prep. Executive function coaching can be applied to many facets of life including future endeavors. With society's growing demands on youth and adults today, many of us struggle to focus and complete everyday tasks on time. I work to ease this burden for students and families. I have recently expanded my business to include counseling for college prep. The college experience can be overwhelming to navigate and I demystify it by asking those important questions, taking the broader picture and narrowing its focus, and planning for future successes. I've worked as a school counselor in Maine and North Carolina. Being an active participant in IEP and 504 meetings, I saw the need for executive function skill development across populations. Transferring my school counselor career to an executive function coaching business has shaped how I go about my everyday life as a mom of three kids, managing work, school schedules, and after school activities. As an ADHD-certified clinical services provider, I have the knowledge and expertise to reach those struggling to focus on a daily basis. I offer practical strategies to help kids, teens and adults with time management, goal setting, emotional control, sustained attention, organization, growth mindset and more. At Functioning Success, I use proven methods by Dr. Peg Dawson and others to assess executive function weaknesses and modify a plan for each specific situation. I look forward to helping others improve their executive skills, as they become more mindful of their thinking and more confident in their goal attainment, especially in college and beyond.
