As video production manager for the industry leader Eastmans' Hunting Journals, Wion is responsible for start to finish production of videos ranging from in-depth gear reviews to a recurring 30-minute broadcast series, Eastmans' Hunting TV featured on Outdoor Channel. She is currently collaborating with Eastmans' staff on a new online-exclusive series, Beyond the Grid TV. Wion also manages the company's digital media ingestion staff and is responsible for maintaining all production equipment.

Working with geologist Jerry Magloughlin, Wion shot and edited the second volume of “Expeditions in Geology” an introductory education series intended for W.H. Freeman Publishing (Watch: http://ow.ly/zqDnc). She was responsible for researching and developing animations of geologic processes. With Magloughlin, Wion traveled to shoot locations, adapted to unknown terrain and varying weather conditions. She managed the company website and maintained Apple hardware and software.

With Center for Collaborative Conservation (CCC) fellow, Joana Roque de Pinho, Wion shot and assisted a Photovoice research project on location near Amboseli, Kenya. After logging and transcribing project footage, she edited and collaborated with Pinho to produce a documentary based on the project titled “Through Our Eyes: A Maasai Photographic Journey” (Watch: http://ow.ly/zqDvW). When serving as Director, Wion led a crew of 10 to 15 one night a week to record or broadcast live a 15-minute local news and sports show. This included communicating audio, camera, talent and video cues for execution by the control room team. Her responsibilities as Webmaster included updating the website nightly, training staff and problem solving. As an Associate Producer she focused on news show production, writing and reporting.

Wion assisted with local commercial shoots, including set up and tear down of sets. She wrote commercial scripts and edited a 30-second commercial spot. Her work also included logging footage.

Wion conducted northern goshawk broadcast surveys and recorded observations as a biological science technician. Use of GPS, map, compass and 4WD vehicles was required to access study sites by foot in varying terrain. She assisted with trapping, banding and assessing goshawks, including technical tree climbing.
