With 25 years of Policing experience, and 16 years within Firearms operations, i Fi’s Ives my service as a National Firearms Instructor and a Tactical Advisor within the Joint Operational Unit of Hampshire & IoW Constabulary, and Thames Valley Police. I provided expert advice, guidance, and support on firearms tactics, policy, and legislation to senior officers, operational commanders, and firearms teams.I also designed, delivered, and evaluated firearms training programs and courses for officers of different ranks and roles, ensuring compliance with National standards and quality assurance. Some of the skills I applied in my work included training needs analysis, resource management, training assessment, threat and risk assessment, communication, negotiation and influence.My core competencies are firearms safety, tactical decision making, and leadership. I was passionate about enhancing the firearms capabilities and performance of the two Forces, and contributing to the public safety and security of the communities they serve. I value professionalism, integrity, and teamwork, and I seek to share my knowledge and experience with others.

Responsible for delivering training to new Police Officer, Special Constable and PCSO recruits, and additional refresher training to existing Officers and Staff.
