I love making multidisciplinary work happen, and working in the backstage space of products that will make a lasting impact for a community. I have been accused of being excited about the most boring topics ever (municipal law, HL7 data, even aerospace connector ends at one point), and that's okay with me.No one builds technology solely for technology's sake. We build new technology, new products, new ideas to meet a human need. I keep the needs of the client (or their customers) centered in order to open doors and accomplish things "they way we've always done it" could never.For example, when I was working at General Code, I was in the unique position to see a problem and propose a solution that has become a successful first-in-industry product. I noticed that our supplementation (update) line of business was losing Zoning chapters. Clients would ask us not to update or publish them because they were handling it on their own. Turns out they had spent a large amount of time and budget with zoning planning firms that presented beautiful, graphics-rich documents as a result. Our standard solution was unable to faithfully recreate those documents, so I found a way. We were able not only to integrate their form into our function, but expand our offerings to support their online zoning maps as well.
