Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director has the overall strategic and operational responsibilities for the Foundation's staff, programs, expansion, and execution of its mission. Primary responsibilities include:• Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence and rigorous program evaluation.• Supervise staff. Provide leadership and direction and delegate work priorities.• Actively engage and energize volunteers, board members, donors, partnering organizations, and major funders.• Recruit, develop, maintain, and support a strong Board of Directors; seek and build board involvement with strategic direction for both ongoing operations as well as national initiatives. • Develop annual budget and manage ongoing financial review.• Maintain official records and documents, and ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations.• Manage the work of the Director of Development and Marketing whose main tasks include planning fundraising campaigns and marketing initiatives, including website initiatives, SEO projects and social media.• Steward and cultivate major donors. Serve as point of contact for all major grant-making partners. Responsible for grant reporting to funders.• Responsible for the ongoing development of the Foundation’s website, creation of newsletters and brochures, organizing Board meetings, and other aspects of promoting the Foundation to promote awareness of peripheral neuropathy.• Serve as professional liaison between the Board of Directors and the Scientific Advisory Board.• Manage the grant making processes. • Manage contractual agreements between grantees and FPN.• Manage relationships and possible funding opportunities with possible corporate (e.g. pharma) and government (e.g. NINDS, NIH) partners.

Oversaw the Foundation's development and marketing functions. Led the Foundation's efforts to secure financial support (i.e., annual fund, major gifts, special events, grants, planned giving, etc.) by creating annual, comprehensive development plans. Identified, cultivated and solicited donors; developed and executed stewardship strategies of existing donors. Trained, managed and motivated board members. Executed plan for raising awareness of Foundation with patients and physicians. Researched and wrote content for website, newsletters and appeal letters. Managed the Foundation's social media presence. Hosted a patient conference.

Managed the Parent and Teacher Association of two elementary schools by: Overseeing and coordinating the work of the executive board, Presiding over general PTA meetings and executive board meetings, Recruiting new parents and welcoming existing families into the school years, Developing the annual budget and reviewing major focuses and financial goals of the PTA budget,Planning and hosting school and community events, Fundraising and marketing PTA-related activities, andOverseeing volunteers of the PTA.

Managed a comprehensive, million-dollar reunion giving campaign for four class reunions, including the recruiting, training, managing and stewarding of 200+ alumni volunteers. Identified, researched and solicited gifts from prospects. Developed and managed the overall communication strategy particular to each class reunion.

Specialized language translator in French and Italian. Edited and formated documents in all languages. Provided final review of translated products; identified and resolved errors. Trained in various software programs and electronic media.

Served as the communication and reporting liaison to the global Rotary volunteer structure and for the Annual Giving team. Drafted a variety of Fund Development communications, appeal letters, marketing strategies, advertisements, individual donor correspondence, electronic newsletters and articles for the Rotary website. Managed existing and new annual giving marketing and communication projects. Worked closely with volunteers in North America and assure budget compliance of 100+ volunteers that I directly managed.

Supported implementation and management of fund raising strategies outside of North America. Drafted training materials, gift agreements and proposals in order to support donor cultivation and Major Gifts (US$10K+).
