Executive Director
CurrentReporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director has the overall strategic and operational responsibilities for the Foundation's staff, programs, expansion, and execution of its mission. Primary responsibilities include:• Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence and rigorous program evaluation.• Supervise staff. Provide leadership and direction and delegate work priorities.• Actively engage and energize volunteers, board members, donors, partnering organizations, and major funders.• Recruit, develop, maintain, and support a strong Board of Directors; seek and build board involvement with strategic direction for both ongoing operations as well as national initiatives. • Develop annual budget and manage ongoing financial review.• Maintain official records and documents, and ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations.• Manage the work of the Director of Development and Marketing whose main tasks include planning fundraising campaigns and marketing initiatives, including website initiatives, SEO projects and social media.• Steward and cultivate major donors. Serve as point of contact for all major grant-making partners. Responsible for grant reporting to funders.• Responsible for the ongoing development of the Foundation’s website, creation of newsletters and brochures, organizing Board meetings, and other aspects of promoting the Foundation to promote awareness of peripheral neuropathy.• Serve as professional liaison between the Board of Directors and the Scientific Advisory Board.• Manage the grant making processes. • Manage contractual agreements between grantees and FPN.• Manage relationships and possible funding opportunities with possible corporate (e.g. pharma) and government (e.g. NINDS, NIH) partners.
