I have been working in marketing, public relations, and event planning for over 20 years, helping organizations and businesses increase their visibility and reach their target audiences. As the Public Relations Director | Network Manager at Michigan Animal Adoption Network (MAAN), I manage the communication, outreach, and fundraising strategies for a non-profit that supports companion animals in need. As a Social Media Representative for Helios Psychiatry and Counseling, I support the practice by assisting with their Facebook and LinkedIn presence to grow their staff and client population. I am passionate about making a positive impact in my community and beyond. That is why I am also pursuing a Master's Degree in Counseling at Central Michigan University, to become a Licensed Professional Counselor. I am also actively involved in advocacy and crime prevention initiatives, as the Elections Lead for the Michigan chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. I also recently served as the Chair of the Royal Oak Crime Prevention Council until my term ended. I am a student member of the American Counseling Association, the Association For Creativity in Counseling, and the Michigan Counseling Association. I am also a member of the Mu Kappa Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota, a Counseling Academic & Professional Honor Society.I am proficient in various digital tools and platforms, such as Microsoft Keynote, Pages, Publisher, Office, and Adobe Photoshop.
