Recovery Coaches, as peers, help guide members in recovery through their journey to health. We provide free meals, life skills groups, arts and crafts, health and wellness training and coaching, volunteer opportunities, community outings, cabin and tent camping monthly, retreats, anger management, talent shows and opportunities to put on performances for the community. We also host special events around most holidays where staff dress up there is a day long activity with raffles, prizes, music, dancing, singing, etc.

The main responsibility of my position is Customer Service. This looks different depending on whether we are working pre-show or on-site at our Expos. I enjoy helping people register when they are having difficulty using the online system. In this vital Customer Service role I am helping customers with questions about the show and going above and beyond to make sure they received quality care, especially the customers who have never been to our Expos and have a lot of questions. Before the shows I am responsible for a lot of administrative work in the office. I use Excel for a number of resources that we require to maintain organization as we prepare for the Expos. I organize all of the packing of shipments that we need to send out from our office to the Expos and I keep record of all of our shipping. I also order Office Supplies and keep our supply room stocked at all times with everything needed for our department. I am required to be organized in order to be efficient at this part of my job. At our Expos my responsibilities include face to face customer service checking everyone in at registration. I get to play the role as host to everyone who comes to our Expos because we are the first point of contact for every customer. My favorite part of my job on-site is managing a large temp staff who works in all areas including registration and throughout the Expo Hall site. I get to do training with the group which is where I thrive in my management position. I enjoy getting to know everyone by name and hear their stories so that I can be the most connected and involved temporary manager that I can be.
