Who’d have thought…my two-year knowledge transfer partnership many moons ago at the University of Bath, School of Management, helping a local engineering firm develop strategic marketing initiatives, would lead me into the world of design engineering in the built environment?Over the years, I have been privileged to work with inspirational business leaders and down-to-earth engineers across fantastic design engineering firms globally, from England to Hong Kong, China, Southeast Asia and Australia. My experience covers the management and delivery of bid proposals and the creation of capability and marketing decks to showcase amazing projects in our cities and communities.Asia propelled me to witness engineering excellence on another level, guiding and implementing marketing best practices and facilitating M&A rebranding activities across the Asia business, including thought leadership client book launches and corporate leadership events.Moving to Sydney, I first found my feet in the Australian market managing strategic bids and proposals, then transitioned into a Senior Marketing Adviser role for Property & Buildings, championing all things marketing, thought leadership activities, and social media engagement to elevate brand awareness and celebrate the milestones and successes of great places, great projects, and great people.In 2024, I transitioned from my corporate marketing role to co-found Goods of Culture with my partner, which offers a curated selection of Chinese cultural goods for funerals, festivals, and significant life events—blending our diverse backgrounds with traditional Chinese values.Our mission is to preserve and sustain Chinese cultural traditions—striving to make these traditions more accessible in the modern era, educate the next generation, and foster a journey of shared learning.
