As the Strategic Initiatives Technical Lead for Efficiency Manitoba, I am responsible for providing technical expertise in the development and delivery of a range of demand side management (DSM) programs and priorities across the commercial and residential sector. Our energy efficiency program activities cover a wide breadth including aspects of high performance building enclosures, ground source heat pumps, air source heat pumps, district energy systems, demand response initiatives as well as applicable codes and standards.Previously I was working at WSP in Canada as an Advisor for the Energy and Carbon Analysis Team within the Climate Change, Resilience and Sustainability.My specialties include whole building energy modelling and operational carbon analysis using a variety of software (CanQuest/eQuest, EE4, IES-VE, HOT2000). My modelling experience includes commercial, institutional, industrial and multi-unit residential buildings for compliane under the NECB, ASHRAE 90.1, LEED 2009/v4, Green Globes and the Zero Carbon Building Standard, applied in jurisdictions across Canada. I began my professional work in sustainable buildings when I joined Integrated Designs Inc. (IDI) in 2017 as a energy modeling engineer / project manager to pursue my passion and interest for high performance buildings and sustainability in the built environment. In 2019, IDI became part of Crosier Kilgour and Partners Ltd. and where I continued in my role until 2022.Prior to that, I've spent 12 years with the Boeing Company as a Manufacturing Engineer in sustaining engineering for the 747-400, 777-200/-300 and product development for the 787-8/-9/-10, 777-8/-9.My aerospace skillset includes manufacturing engineering, production planning, aircraft assembly, composite layup design and planning, assembly and layup tool design, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, variation analysis and dimensional management, project management, configuration and change management, 5S and Lean manufacturing.
