I graciously grew up being surrounded by military and aviation having many family members serve in the U.S. Military. I am constantly researching and seeking aviation knowledge such as aviation safety and security. I watched and studied the journey of the NASA Space Shuttle Program and have an extreme passion for space exploration. I am ambitiously pursuing my dream to become part of a defense or NASA contractor.I hold over a dozen flight hours which was accumulated during my membership of the Air Force Auxiliary Unit, Civil Air Patrol Marco Island Composite Squadron from 2006-2009 as my rank of 1st Lieutenant and Administrative Officer. I also have an extreme passion and self-acquired knowledge in Aviation Accident Investigations and can quote numerous facts from many of the most noted major commercial airline accident investigations. My most influential aviation mentors are retired NTSB Senior Investigator and Aviation Safety and Security Consultant, Greg Feith (lead investigator of notable investigations ValueJet 592, American Eagle 4184, and Swiss Air), Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger of US Airways 1549, and last but not least my father, Ret. United States Air Force Major Ronald A. Skender and former employee of North American Rockwell (manufacturer of the Saturn V Command and Service Modules for all Apollo missions and Space Shuttle orbiters). My father was also commended by certification from the Department of Defense for active participation in the first launch of NASA's Space Shuttle Columbia (STS-1) on 12 April 1981. Additionally, I have 15+ years of extensive high end customer service experience with everything from small firms to Fortune 500 companies. I am extremely versatile and able to adapt to high demanding positions. I currently hold a lifetime Apple Certified Macintosh Technician rating with an emphasis on hardware repair and systematic fault isolation.
