I was elected to be the Conference Coordinator Elect for ACPA Kentucky and am serving on the Executive Committee for a 2 year term. I was Conference Coordinator for the 2019 term.With the 2020 conference being held at the end of January, it was one of the last in-person conferences to be held in 2020 prior to the pandemic shut down.Prior to becoming coordinator, I served on the conference committee for the 2018 CPAK conference.

I advise about 90 working adults who are in the School of Business as full-time students to achieve their dreams of completing a business degree primarily through weekly/bi-weekly contact via phone and email. I assist student in identifying their strengths, weaknesses and ways in which they learn, determining short and long term goals, and creating additional strategies for success. As their mentor, I am the student's primary source of information for their program and strive to ensure that all of my students understand their expectations and overcome any obstacles that may hinder their success.

School Of Liberal Arts & University College

Worked primarily with first and second year students in University College, assisting them in working towards acceptance into their degree granting school. Assisted Liberal Arts students in creating academic and career plans, course scheduling, and worked with instructors to plan and co-instruct Themed Learning Communities every fall semester. Assisted with articulation of transfer credits for students coming into School of Liberal Arts. Assisted in the coordination of the Liberal Arts Scholarship process, from ensuring students knew when and how to apply through to observing the selection process, served on various campus and school committees.In University College: was part of new process to initiate personal development plans/portfolio into learning communities in which students could 'carry' with them throughout academic career.

I met with undergraduate and graduate Liberal Arts students looking to improve their resume and cover letter, those who had not yet created one, or those just needing a last look before submitting to a job application. I talked to many students who were very passionate about their major, but were not sure where it would lead them, and also assisted students who knew exactly what their end goal was, but they weren't quite sure how to fill in the points in the middle to get there.

Assisted first year students and those not yet in their degree granting schools with academic planning, career conversations, and life skills that increased retention and persistence towards graduation. Taught along side a faculty member in 5 first year learning communities each year. During my 2nd year, I implemented the StrengthsQuest Assessment to 2 classes (approx. 60 students) and incorporated it into their career and academic planning conversations. Worked with students to create their first resumes.

Worked at Career events, assisted with mock interviews and resume reviews for business students, participated in the Business Etiquette Luncheon sponsored by the school, and shadowed the Director when she met with potential business clients looking to hire Kelley grads and students.

Created individualized marketing plans for loan officers in order to create new business, retain existing customers and encourage repeat business.

Served as liaison between client, Realtor, appraiser, loan officer and title company to ensure a satisfactory home closing process for clients. I also created marketing material for individual loan officers and was a notary closer during the loan closing process.

Coordinated all aspects of marketing plan for 5-10 offices, edited and approved artwork and final copy of advertising for national marketing campaigns, worked with internal departments and external vendors to ensure compliance with state and national regulations for advertising and the mortgage industry were upheld, and trained new Marketing Project Coordinators in our department. Worked closely with VP's in each office as well as owners and Marketing VP to build consensus towards a decision on national marketing campaigns.
