I teach agricultural communications at Texas Tech University and serve as the program director of the Matador Institute of Leadership Engagement (MILE) Program for the Davis College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. I have 10-plus years of industry experience working for state and national commodity organizations as the lead communications and external affairs director. I have also served as the editor of two agricultural publications. My diverse skill set includes written, verbal, and visual communication, proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud software (Indesign, Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, and Illustrator), photography and video production, proficiency in AP Style, ability to supervise staff, ability to manage multiple tasks and activities, strategic program planning and management, creative problem solving, and experience in crisis communication management.I was the fifth generation to grow up on my family's farm in Northwest Arkansas. I have a broad set of interests that range from fly fishing to traveling to trying new food. I am an avid sports fan and cheer on the Razorbacks and Red Raiders.

I led and coordinated USCP’s core grower educational programs including Leadership Sorghum and Sorghum U. I also led USCP’s “Sorghum: The Smart Choice” branding campaign, and overlayed branding efforts with all communications materials. -
