Manages a portfolio of evaluation studies (Maternal and Child Health, Chronic Care Management) that aim to understand the impact of programs and services on patient health outcomes and disparities.  Facilitate relationships between evaluation and program staff and across departments to design, implement, interpret and disseminate evaluation activities. Collaborate with program team to manage evaluation activities including data collection and analysis. Design and manage evaluations from conception to conclusion including evaluation planning/conceptualization, identifying quality improvement opportunities, and negotiating and managing timelines for evaluation activities and products.  Develop, implement and maintain processes for data collection (qualitative and quantitative), quality assurance, data management, and data analysis.  Manages a REDCap project with 3,668 variables and 1,610+ records and is responsible for project development and refinement, user right access, data imports, reporting and user training.

 Led a quality improvement project utilizing the Plan-Do-Study-Act methodology to identify a mechanism to improve retention in care through workflow mapping, tool development, and evaluation. Planned, executed, and analyzed 25 semi-structured key informant interviews and 3 focus groups for infectious disease and MCH service lines. Produced 10 protocols and guides for data entry, training, and evaluation monitoring plus identified other processes that could benefit from additional structure and consistency in the Research and Evaluation Department. Developed and presented two poster presentations for city and state level audiences and one webinar about REDCap project development for a national audience reaching 100+ people.

Aided Rotary Peace Fellowship applicants by reviewing applications for completeness, coordinating translation services, developing follow up actions plans with applicants, and advancing eligible applicants to Rotary Peace Fellowship Committee for review. Processed 120 applications and submitted 85 applications to the Rotary Peace Fellowship Committee.

Strengthened the UIC School of Public Health Global Health Program by supporting the Global Health Program Coordinator via program promotion.  Monitored the progress of students enrolled in the global health concentration. Managed the Global Health Program website. Created promotional material for Global Health Program events.  Researched scholarship opportunities for students seeking a practicum experience aboard.

Contributed to the development of a disaster risk reduction training which utilized the Train the Trainer model. Collaborated with a local group to support capacity building and community resiliency in the face of future disasters. Facilitated four active group discussions during lessons and activities (e.g. photovoice). Created four codebooks for pre, post, and retention surveys and daily assessments. Entered and coded data collected from administered surveys (30) and daily assessments (25) into Excel.

Supported two co-professors teaching the undergraduate course Global Health Societies. Reinforced lessons presented by professions and the teaching scholar and supported record keeping and grading.  Collaborated with a team of five including two co-professors, a teaching scholar, and another teaching assistant to coordinate grading for a class of 100 students.  Graded assignments and provided constructive feedback utilizing Blackboard. Communicated effectively with students to reinforce professor lessons and address course related questions using Blackboard and email.

Supported the Global Health Initiatives Department of HAI by remaining adaptable to changing needs. Primary responsibilities included collaborating with HAI team members to develop and finish funding proposals, supported event coordination, and researched funding and dissemination opportunities for current interventions. Assembled a research poster illustrating the results of an HIV intervention in Nigeria for the 2014 International AIDS Conference.  Composed a summary of the stress management training evaluations into a memo to facilitate internal and external dissemination.  Coordinated and documented logistics for HAI leadership conference including hotel accommodations, transportation, and food for international and domestic employees.

Supported the community-based initiative Asians with Disabilities Outreach Project Think-Tank (ADOPT) by analyzing research around Asian Americans with disabilities (AAWDs) and workforce engagement.  Translated lessons learned into tools designed to help community-based organizations and employers navigate the Illinois Department of Health Services Division of Rehabilitation Services and Vocational Rehabilitation referral process. Transcribed four key informant interviews and two focus groups, developed theme-based codebook, and analyzed data using Atlas.ti. Created a training presentation and an informational handout providing resources and guidance for community-based organizations and employers to support and advocate for AAWDs. Researched and identified five funding opportunities and effective opportunities for disseminating information concerning current research on disability programs utilizing community-campus partnerships.

Contributed to the development of building healthy global communities through community focused health promotion activities such as nutrition, maternal and child health, hygiene, and HIV/AIDS education and create income generating activities which support community health. Conducted community-based research through Participatory Analysis for Community Action (PACA) tools to gain an accurate profile of the community. Organized and conducted culturally competent health campaigns and trainings around malaria, family planning, nutrition, hygiene, and HIV/AIDS by utilizing local resources with a focus on sustainability. Organized and conducted two soap production trainings focused on income generation and promotion of basic hygiene practices in schools and in local businesses. Secured and managed three grants for community-based youth programs and hygiene initiatives. Collaborated with health staff, community organizations, non-governmental organizations, and individuals in the community to plan and implement programs.
