Hello. It is a pleasure to greet you on behalf of BrightStar Care/North-Suburban where I am delighted to serve as Director of Nursing. Located on the North Shore of Chicago we proudly serve seniors with nursing and other care services provided in the comfort of home.As Director of Nursing, it’s my job to oversee every BrightStar case and client. I am also in charge of all our nurses and caregivers and holding them to our higher BrightStar quality standards. We only select caregivers and nurses who have a deep passion for their jobs and believe, as I do, that nursing is not just a career, it’s a calling. Me Personally I’m first and foremost the proud mom of a toddler. I’ve also had unique experiences that have led to a better understanding of the care needed worldwide for people and our environment. I have a degree in Environmental Science and a passion for preserving our planet. Years ago, I visited the Amazon Rain forest and lived in Brazil. I felt compelled to see the green lushness of a forest wonder that is vanishing, and I also wanted to experience life as indigenous Brazilians live it with constant need as a basis of their daily existence. I also served in the ER in Alaska --b.b.b.brieflyI feel it’s my duty to serve those with less and those who need speical assistance. I’m dedicated to preserving the best of what we have NOW for future generations. That takes on even more meaning when it comes to taking care of seniors who need all the medical, emotional and compassionate care we can provide.It’s not just our body that we need to take care of (I love Yoga); it’s our mind too. When you’re in the ER, and I spent 10 years there, you learn to appreciate the fragility of life and the need to live it to the fullest, helping others and ourselves in the healthiest ways possible.
