As a member of a small, but mighty, team of dedicated non-profit professionals, I had the pleasure of handling the Communications and Marketing for the organization. In addition, I handled the Accounting and Human Resources responsibilities. Lastly, I served as supervisor for the Iowa Food Bank Association AmeriCorps VISTA Project.Iowa Food Bank Association: Facilitating efforts to alleviate hunger by supporting Feeding America food banks that serve Iowa.

As Communications Program Coordinator, I assisted with coordination of the Iowa Food & Family Project, including event planning, volunteer recruitment and relationships, and funding partner development. I assisted with the planning approximately ten events per year, including farm tours and large exhibits at the Iowa State Fair and Iowa Games Athlete Jamboree. I also served as soybean staff liaison for CommonGround, a joint effort between United Soybean Board, National Corn Growers Association, Iowa Soybean Association and Iowa Corn Growers, which has 15 Iowa farm women who blog and/or tell their farm story through various social media platforms. In addition, I helped manage the social media platforms for the Iowa Food & Family Project and CommonGround Iowa.

As a member of a three person team, I represented the eastern third of Iowa; approximately 4,000 members. Recruited new association members and developed District Advisory Council volunteer platform. Worked to establish ISA's Farm & Food Ambassador Team and organized activities and events for association membership.
