Worked as a travel nurse

Provided nursing care in a level 1 trauma center emergency department. Displayed expert clinical skills for thecare of patients including pediatrics, adults, psychiatric, and critically acute.• Acted as Triage Nurse.• Supervised CNAs, Duke University ABSN students and PNAs and acted as preceptor. Oriented and trained newemployees to the standards and practices for the emergency department.• Participated in the Emergency Department Impact Team committee and the Pediatric Committee. Contributedto strategic plans and initiatives to advance standards of care excellence, improve patient outcomes and drivecontinuous improvement.• POCT Trainer: trained all employees on how to correctly perform urine HCG’s, urine dipsticks, glucose readings,nitrazine paper, Ph paper, hemoccults and gastroccults.• Certified in US Guided IV Placement.• Created and managed resuscitation unit rotation schedule for night shift employees. Our resuscitation area iswhere trauma and critically ill medical patients present. The department nursing staff was adequately rotatedthrough the unit to improve job satisfaction and patient care.• Consistently commended for delivering patient-centered, quality critical care.
