Nursing has always been a part of my identity. Being a caregiver and provider came naturally to me; I knew I wanted to be a nurse even when I was very young. Nursing runs in the family, and I was always encouraged to take this path. My first job after graduation in a nursing home and rehabilitation facility was the beginning of my passion for the care of older adults. When I returned to school for my master’s degree there was no question that I wanted to return to nursing homes or to primary care for older adults. I am proud to be a buckeye at The Ohio State University and I plan to graduate in the Adult-Gerontology Primary Care NP program in May 2023. My clinical experience includes primary care in skilled nursing, assisted living, and long-term care and consultation services with geriatrics and gastroenterology. My dream job would be to work with the geriatric population near Delaware, Ohio. My goal is to be readily available to my patients and their families as well as to the staff providing their care.
