As the Project Director, I was directly responsible for business functional areas including recruitment, staff resourcing and risk management. My successes within these areas saw my promotion to Associate Director, where I was integrated into the Senior Leadership Team. Within my current role as Associate Director, I manage the Melbourne business and provide direct input into business strategy, business planning, managing profit and loss and undertaking business development, in addition to running a team of staff to manage projects. During my tenure, the company has grown from seven employees to 17.Key Achievements· Invited to take part in the Risk Committee reporting to the Board of Directors at Essence. This committee was formed to identify and report on risks to the company including financial, safety, reputational, cyber, property and IP. It was also formed to identify and procure processes where necessary.· Assisted in the testing and rollout of a Project Management software tool company-wide which required data migration, staff training and the development of ancillary processes to be deployed throughout the business.· Managed the resourcing Functional Area for the Victorian office on a month-to-month basis, including the allocation of resources to projects, staff utilisation and welfare, recruitment, interviewing and onboarding.· Provided structured mentorship on a one-on-one basis to four personnel within the Victorian Office to help guide the young professionals in the construction industry and their professional careers in general. In my role as Associate Director, I managed the team to deliver high-profile projects from feasibility stage through to completion and occupation.Key Achievements· Successfully managed a range of personnel appointments including interviewing and the processing of offers and acceptances and developed a specific interview protocol for this particular high-pressure and fast-paced business.· Delivered the first Marriott Hotel in Victoria in 20 years, along with 195 private residences in a vertical tower, from concept design through to delivery and opening/settlement. There were many specific challenges on that project, including building above and adjacent to a live shopping centre; the adjoining owner’s complicated deed; and the final titling and licensing of land for registration at Land Titles Office.
