CurrentLead the Health Education and Community Transformation Division, to solve health problems by influencing decisions that individuals, groups and communities make and improving systems and environments that influence actions they can take to prevent disease and disability. ▪ Supervise program managers focused on chronic disease prevention, employee wellness, community testing and outreach, maternal and child health, health literacy, regional tobacco control, overdose prevention & response, adverse childhood experiences, and resilience.▪ Oversee $4 million budget with 12 federal, state and local funding sources. ▪ Provide oversight to all Health Education and Community Transformation programs, ensuring that expected deliverables for all federal, state, county and privately funded work are completed efficiently, and maintaining fidelity to identified evidence-based and theory-informed models. ▪ Led all public education efforts related to COVID-19 response. Served as Project Director for Bull City Strong, a community-based program to increase health literacy and reduce disparities in COVID-related outcomes among Black and Latinae communities in Durham.
