Using these principles, helped Soldiers to become high performing “tactical athletes” and helped foster high performing unit teams in preparation for, during, and following a variety of tactical performances. IMG Academy is the world-leading provider of integrated academic, athletic and personal development training programs for youth, adult, collegiate and professional athletes. As a Mental Conditioning Coach it was my job to deliver mental skills workshops to IMG Academy campers ages 8-18 across tennis, basketball, baseball, soccer, track and field, and lacrosse. The workshops addressed how to improve various different mental skills such as concentration, confidence, energy management, composure, motivation, coachability, preparation, attitude and consistency.

I provided mental skills training to the members of Mount Holyoke College women’s lacrosse team. I lead sessions revolving around sport psychology principles (goal setting, confidence, cognitive restructuring and self-talk, motivation techniques, etc.). I worked individually with several athletes on the team to help them address and conquer their personal mental blocks.
