I am a Master’s prepared registered nurse, who has over 13 years of acute hospital experience. My direct patient care experience was in the post anesthesia care unit and the emergency department at an academic, level one trauma center. For over 7 years I have thrived in the fields of Care Management, Denials Management and Revenue Integrity. I believe in patient advocacy, and ensuring all who seek care receive a quality experience, at the most appropriate level of care. This work requires high-level assessment skills, a strong knowledge of healthcare system navigation, and connecting people with available community resources. In my current role, as Director of Care Management, I find satisfaction in empowering others to work at the top of their licensure. I value the strength that comes with building a cohesive team, and the encouragement that comes from a well matched mentor/mentee relationship. I am highly collaborative, process-oriented and skilled in the establishment of best practices.
