I assist and continually support Buena Vista University Graduate Students within each of the various steps and processes experienced throughout the student lifecycle and beyond. I support an innovative and holistic approach to providing students with the assistance, guidance, and resources necessary to be successful as a Buena Vista University graduate student supporting them from inquiry to graduation. I develop new leads, maintain a recruitment territory, promote BVU in the community, attend events, host classroom visits, and build strong relationships with prospective and current students through extensive outreach. In addition, I proactively work to retain current students, managing their program of study in collaboration with the Program Director.

I was responsible for managing student recruitment efforts in the Eastern Iowa and Eastern Minnesota areas. I managed correspondence with applicants and their families by counseling on the college-search process. I worked with students to teach them the value of what Drake offers in a way that will uniquely appeal to them. I attended college fairs within my territory. I reviewed applications and assisted in selecting the best students for admission. I maintained accurate student record data in Banner® and Slate®. I assisted in the coordination and execution of recruiting programs both on and off campus.

As a member of the University of Minnesota Rochester Office of Admissions team, I assisted with the recruitment of undergraduate students. Here were some of my responsibilities:• Support the Office of Admissions, the Director of Enrollment Management, and initiatives to recruit students.• Greet prospective students, families, and other visitors to the University of Minnesota Rochester.• Assist with maintaining accurate data in Salesforce®, including data entry and report generation.• Provide preliminary evaluation of academic and other credentials for admissions advising and decision-making purposes.• Review applications for admission and making admission recommendations for the Assistant Director of Admissions. • Participate and assist in the coordination of student recruitment outreach activities on and off campus.• Travel to high schools to meet with school counselors and interested students, and to do classroom presentations. • Take an active role in participation at national college fairs, and college fairs circuits in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa.• Coordinate and share in the execution of large and small group campus visit days, which include presentations and campus tours.
