Master Planned Community of Esencia • Lead designer of the playgrounds and recreational components at The Backyard, a large linear park located in the Northwalk Neighborhood of Esencia. The playgrounds were featured in the September 2019 issue of Landscape Architect Magazine as part of their “Innovatively Designed Playgrounds” article.• Worked as part of the design team playing a key role in developing and designing the overall landscape character throughout the Village of Esencia. The Village of Esencia at Rancho Mission Viejo won Master Planned Community of the Year award at the 2016 Business Industry Association’s Greater Sales and Marketing Council’s SoCal Awards and placed as the Gold Nugget Inaugural Winner in the best Community Landscape Architecture Category. • Participated in initial design charrettes, generating design solutions for a changing market and demand for more diverse recreation amenities in the 3rd phase of Esencia. Presented the final ideas in front of a large group of peers and clients. These ideas were accepted in the design of The Backyard at Esencia, which placed as the Finalist for “Best Community Amenity” at the 2018 SoCal Awards.Master Planned Community of Sendero • Successfully managed streetscape and fuel modification plan preparation, submittal coordination, and maintenance walks for Sendero Phase 1 of the Ranch Plan in Rancho Mission Viejo. Sendero won numerous awards, including the 2016 SoCal Awards Master Planned Community of the Year. Reata Park and Event Center, San Juan Capistrano Open Space Foundation • Effectively collaborated with San Juan Capistrano Open Space Foundation and Tree of Life Nursery to develop and implement a fully native planting design that preserved the equestrian heritage of the site, but showcased an innovative and aesthetic solution to low water use planting design.
